AFTERGLOW: Six Poets in Sixty Minutes

AFTERGLOW: Six Poets in Sixty Minutes

National Poetry Day at Unity Books in Sixty Words or Less:

Hera Lindsay Bird; Harvey Molloy; Bill Nelson; Rachel O’Neill; Kerrin P Sharpe; Tim Upperton. Six poets. Sixty Minutes. 32 Poems. On the page, out of mouths, into waves that wobbled the air. Seats full, on floor, standing halfway to the door. Then, at last, the audience applause. A cerebral hour of neuron firing, National Poetry Day, 2016!

Thank you to all the poets who attended, some from out of town. Thank you to the wonderful audience. Thank you to the punters who braved the crowds and managed to reach the Children’s Section. National Poetry Day was a lot of fun at Unity Books Wellington.
