A packed house gathered on Thursday March 6th to celebrate the launch of Tina Makereti’s debut novel Where the Rēkohu Bone Sings.
Random House NZ fiction publisher Harriet Allan kicked-off proceedings with some readings from the book and Hinemoana Baker spoke about the sensitivities and truths that Tina had woven into the story, and marked the occasion with waiata.
Tina kindly stayed to sign copies of the book whilst, simultaneously, attending guests all signed a copy for her. It was a fantastic launch, thanks to Tina, Hinemoana, Harriet and Random House NZ. Of course a big thanks to you as well for supporting New Zealand writing.
