Mal Peet was a visiting lecturer at the International Institute of Modern Letters and we managed to entice him down for a lunchtime event with the promise of lively discussion and all the free water and plunger coffee he could drink. The lunchtime event was popular, drawing in many browsers and passers-by as well as those there specifically to hear Mal Peet in conversation with Kate De Goldi.
