We were deeply concerned to hear the new CEO of Te Papa planned to put Te Papa Press into “suspension”, effectively cutting off any chance for publications relating to the collections held at the museum, particularly anything with scholarly merit over commercial appeal. This was a “first thoughts” brainstorm for how to prevent – or at least publicly object to – this course of action.
