“The Future For Books” article, Listener, 1971

Article in the Listener, “The Future for Books” by Alisdair Fairley, addressing the rising cover price of books due in part to rising production costs, but also the publishing of unprofitable books. The author hopes this won’t lead to a situation of “censorship by majority taste”. He suggests a Committee of Inquiry to investigate and suggest solutions before the problems escalate.
