“…many take books seriously. My idea of the perfect holiday is driving the length and breadth of the country, checking out all 788 bookshops, from Ashworth’s Paper Plus in Kaitaia to the Glengarry News Agency in lnvercargill. I can’t imagine a trip to Wellington that didn’t include visits to Unity Books in Willis St, Quilters in Lambton Quay the Ferret in Cuba Mall…” vs the “Yuh what’? factor” besetting chains.
