Giancarlo de Cataldo lives in Rome, where he works as a magistrate, and is a successful writer, translator, essayist, journalist, and scriptwriter for theatre, cinema, TV and radio.
Paul Thomas is a prolific writer who has written numerous novels, select sports biographies and a collection of short stories. He is the author of the successful Tito Ihaka crime series.
First published in Italy in 2002, and translated into English in 2015, Romanzo Criminale is inspired by true events and tells the story of three close friends who hijack the organised crime scene in Rome in the 1970s. As well as being a forceful crime narrative, it is also a chronicle of Italy’s Years of Lead, a period of upheaval when terrorism, organised crime and political corruption went hand in hand.
