AFTERGLOW: Headlands: New Stories of Anxiety, edited by Naomi Arnold

On Thursday 18th October, Unity played host to a lunchtime discussion between Nelson-based journalist Naomi Arnold and Wellington author Kirsten McDougall on the new book Headlands: New Stories of Anxiety, compiled and edited by Arnold and published by Victoria University Press. The book collects essays from more than 30 people, some established writers and some new to the craft, all on the subject of anxiety and their personal journeys with it. While not a ‘self-help’ book, Arnold and McDougall discussed the merits of reading about other’s experiences, and Arnold read some favourite excerpts from the book.
