AFTERGLOW: Moth Hour by Anne Kennedy & Listening In by Lynley Edmeades

Friday 27th September brought on the delightful double poetry launch of Anne Kennedy’s Moth Hour & Lynley Edmeades’ Listening In. Fellow writer Jenny Bornholdt started us off with a beautiful review of Listening In, and Lynley read some excerpts; imagery of sleepy southern landscapes, road-trips “..the sunlight lies down across everything.” We listened intently to her observations of sound, communication – listening. Elizabeth Caffin introduced Anne Kennedy, who gave us a blend of humour, mischief & sadness, while Bill Lake accompanied her on guitar, transforming her poems into very entertaining & sweet songs. The night was full of merriment, with big laughs, fans young and old & many wines. A huge congratulations to Anne & Lynley for such a stunning launch.

A very hapū Lynley Edmeades being shown the flow of the evening by our Luke Finnigan.
