AFTERGLOW: Tart & Bitter by David Burton

AFTERGLOW: Tart & Bitter by David Burton

It was a family affair at Unity Books on Tuesday evening, where Tart & Bitter: Four Decades of Dining Nightmares by David Burton was launched. Selected from David’s years of restaurant reviewing for The Dominion Post and published by Potton & Burton, Robbie Burton himself (David’s brother) was on hand to launch the book and to share with us some family history. Family members, former colleagues, as well as comrades from the Wellington restaurant scene (although nobody who David has slandered too harshly) and loyal readers of David’s restaurant reviews filled the audience. David read some choice excerpts from the book, as well as announcing that he would no longer be reviewing for the Dominion, although other projects are in the works – and of course, his juiciest pieces can now be re-enjoyed in book format.

We wonder how David would rate a Unity event platter?
